Who We Are
We are Union of Angolans in the United Kingdom recently registered as a Charity CIO-association N.1201463.
We have mainly worked with our collaborators, individual expertise, and volunteers.
Our aim has been to relieve financial hardship through the provision of grants, information and such support as the trustees deem appropriate.
The furtherance of supplementary education both in England and Wales for the benefit of the local residents,
without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious, or other opinions
by bringing together the residents and local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort.
Providing facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation, with objective of improving the conditions of life for the residents,
has also been a part of our focal point.

Our Story
Back in 2021, our country fella Carlos Cristovao (Kota Kado) passed away. However, due to financial difficulties, there was a necessity for everyone, friends and families coming together
with a common goal of contribution, so that Mr Calros Cristovao could have a decent Funeral service.
The willingness and support that everyone had shown, inspired all the mourners within the Angolan community. Soon after that, UARU was born on 31 of July 2021 by 10 individual people, who together
with a common belief of sense of community, drew up a plan of how to support disadvantaged and vulnerable people within the communities.
Diversity was also a part of the agenda. For example, the unity within the Angolan community, the re-integration of individuals who have faced language
barrier and isolation, were a part of the discussion that contributed to the foundation of our constitution.
