What We Do

ADVOCACY SUPPORT

Advocacy seeks to ensure that all people in society are able to:

  • Have their voice heard on issues that are important to them.
  • Protect and promote their rights
  • Have their views and wishes genuinely considered when decisions are being made about their lives.

An advocate from UARU will help you:

  • Listen to your views and concerns.
  • Help you explore your options and rights without pressuring you.
  • Provide information to help you make informed decisions.
  • Help you contact relevant people, or contact them on your behalf.
  • Accompany you and support in meetings or appointments.

Advisory Services

We have also been working with individual expertise and collaborators, who can be effectively helpful, when you are being stopped or prevented from having, doing, or denied from something that is very important to you like:

  • Housing
  • Immigration
  • Isolation
  • Counselling (Young people and parents)
